SOLIDARITY SHARES
Sliding scale pricing honors that we all have different access to resources and can be a way for community to support itself. Simply put, people who pay on the higher end of the scale support people who pay on the lower end. Paying on the higher end of the scale is an act of solidarity that recognizes that everyone deserves access to healthy food. And paying on the lower end can be a way to honor the limitations of your household.

Each year we reach out to our wider networks to raise funds to support this food justice work.
Thank you to all who have and continue to contribute and to those that accept the vulnerability of receiving.

Please read our prompts below and try to be honest about what your household can afford. It is completely up to you to determine where you fall on the scale: you know more about your household economy than we do, and we take you at your word as to what you can afford without question or judgment.
We will never share with others how much you pay.

Our solidarity share costs:
RECEIVING: $42 = 20units
MIDDLE PATH: $100 = 20units
GIVING: $158 = 20units
Please search your heart, let yourself, and then let us know whether you need to receive or give.
If you cannot pay for your food without taking away from other essentials, such as housing, health care, or prescription drugs, you are an excellent candidate for receiving.
On the other hand, if you are blessed with privilege and financial abundance, please search your heart to see if being a giver is appropriate for you, remembering that giving is a joy, honor, and privilege and often opens the door for more abundance.
In either case, as a receiver or a giver, we trust that you will be as honest as possible with yourself about what your household can afford, or what it cannot afford.
